You fight the hardest battles with yourself. This is where our success or failure begins. Victory, brotherly friendship, love and opportunity that can change a whole life. Everyone dreams about it, but at what cost would these dreams have to be fulfilled? Is it really worth it at all?
"Heart to fight" is the full-length debut of Kacper Anuszewski actor and director, creator of short films shown at 150 international film festivals around the world, which have received nearly 40 awards, including in Palm Springs, Las Vegas and Toronto. Emotional fights were conducted under the watchful eye of Tomasz Skrzypek - a trainer honored with numerous awards, who together with the Polish team won the 2017 World Sports Games and Jerzy Wroński - known under the nickname "Juras" rapper and eight-time Polish champion and World Cup winner in kickboxing. The film is under the patronage of the Polish Kickboxing Association, the Polish Olympic Committee, the Polish Paralympic Committee, the "No Barriers" Foundation and the "Avalon" Foundation.
Piotrek is a talented athlete. However, he remembers traumatic childhood events that cast a shadow over his entire current life. Unable to find his way, he begins to take part in illegal fighting. One day his life changes. He meets an amazing girl and receives an irresistible offer that can change everything. Piotrek accepts the challenge and intends to show the world what he can do. However, there are people around him who will do everything to make him fail. Only the support of loved ones can give him the strength he needs so much.
The film is not about male-female relationships, but rather about the peace of mind that lies in relations with loved ones. Values such as: family, friendship, brotherhood or honorary proceedings, not everyone remembers them, and it seems to me that it is worth remembering them sometimes. The film also touches on several socially important topics such as disability. - Kacper Anuszewski, producer, director and screenwriter.
